Usage is metered in monthly credits. A free tier includes a small credit allowance, and paid plans start with a low-cost Starter tier and scale up through Creator, Pro, Scale and Business levels, with annual billing discounted. Heavy generation or commercial-scale API use can get expensive, so it is worth estimating character volumes before committing.
