Synthesia

Synthesia is a browser-based video tool that generates videos of a digital presenter reading your script. You pick a stock avatar (or create one of yourself), choose a voice and language, and arrange scenes with text, images and screen recordings in a slide-like editor. It can also dub and translate existing videos.

It is aimed at companies producing training, onboarding, product explainers and internal communications, where updating a script is far cheaper than reshooting with a camera crew. The results look polished but clearly synthetic, so it suits informational content better than marketing that relies on human warmth.

A free Basic plan offers a few minutes of watermarked video per month to try it out. Starter costs $29 a month on monthly billing (less when paid yearly), Pro raises the credit allowance and features, and Enterprise is priced on request. An API is available for generating videos programmatically.
