Speak

Speak is a language-learning app built around talking out loud rather than tapping answers. Lessons introduce everyday phrases, drill them with spoken repetition, and then let you use them in open conversations with an AI tutor that responds to what you say and points out mistakes.

It suits learners who can read a little but freeze when they have to speak, and people who want regular conversation practice without scheduling a human tutor. English speakers can learn languages including Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Italian and Mandarin, and speakers of other languages can use it to learn English.

There is no permanent free plan; new users get a 7-day free trial. After that, Speak Premium or Speak Premium Plus is required, with Premium Plus adding personalised lessons and full access to the AI tutor. Speak does not publish prices on its website, as they vary by plan, region and promotion.
